Hard-Drive Cable Kit

To guard against electrical shock, always unplug your computer from the
electrical outlet before removing and replacing parts on the computer.
The hard-drive cable kit prevents the hard-drive cable from getting bent or
damaged, while replacing the the bottom base cover. The kit consists of a:

hard-drive flex cable
rubber bumper
To install the hard-drive cable kit:

Remove the bottom base cover and the battery.

For more information on removing the bottom base cover and the battery, see
the Service Manual at /manuals.

2Disconnect the ends of the existing hard-drive flex cable from the
systemboard and hard-drive connectors.
3Gently peel the hard-drive flex cable away from the systemboard.
