My Upcoming Birthday Party
Next weekend I'm going to have my birthday party and I
can't wait! It's going to be the best party ever. I've been planning
it for weeks and I've thought of so many fun things we're going
to do.
First, I'm going to invite all my best friends from school. I
already made the guest list - there will be Max, Emma, Liam, Ava,
Sophia, Jacob, and a bunch of other kids from my class. I really
hope they can all come because it won't be the same without
them. I gave out the invitations last week at school. They're
superhero themed with Marvel characters all over them. I'm
going to decorate the whole house with superhero stuff too -
streamers, balloons, plates and cups with pictures of Spider-Man,
Iron Man, Captain America and more. It's going to look so
awesome!
For activities, we're going to start with some party games.
We'll play musical chairs but instead of sitting down, you have to
freeze in a superhero pose when the music stops. Whoever has
the silliest superhero pose gets a prize! I'm practicing my poses
every day to get ready. Then we'll play "superhero training"
which is like an obstacle course but all the obstacles are
superhero themed. You have to climb through a spider web,
crawl through a tunnel like The Hulk, and swing across monkey
bars pretending you're Spider-Man. My dad is going to set
everything up in the backyard for me. I can't wait to race through
it!
After the games, we're going to have a superhero costume
contest. My aunt is an amazing seamstress and she made me the
most incredible Wolverine costume with claws that really come
out of the hands. I'm entering the contest for sure but I hope my
friends dress up too because it'll be so much fun. We're going to
walk around like our favorite superheroes and show off our
costumes. I'm going to give out awards for categories like Best
Costume, Most Creative, and Funniest.
The best part is going to be the food though - it's all going
to be superhero themed! My mom is making a huge Captain
America shield cake that's red, white and blue with his logo on it.
She's also making Hulk fists out of green-tinted rice crispy treats.
And for the main meal we're having a "superhero powers"
