Abstract
】
Lithium-ion battery separators in lithium-ion batteries mainly isolate positive and negative electrodes,
prevent short circuits, and allow lithium-ion conduction

. Therefore, the quality of lithium-ion battery separators directly
affects the performance of lithium-ion batteries . In the process of preparing lithium battery separators, paraffin oil is used
as a pore-forming agent, and polyethylene microporous membranes are prepared by a thermally induced phase separation
method. Paraffin oil residues are unavoidable. This paper studies the effect of the residual amount of paraffin oil in the
separator on battery self-discharge, rate discharge, high-temperature storage, and cycle performance. The research results
show that the lower the amount of residual oil, the better the performance of lithium batteries
