Kyocera Torque KC-S701 Software update
We’re pleased to inform you that a software update has been released for the
Kyocera Torque (KC-S701) smartphone. The update requires manual
installation, with complete instructions listed below.

Precaution for software update
1. Update requires a Wi-Fi connection.
2. Depending on Wi-Fi connection speed, the update may take several
minutes or more.
3. The phone will be inoperable during the update.
4. Ensure the Wi-Fi network is not overcrowded and provides a stable
connection. Also ensure that the Wi-Fi signal is strong and the phone is not
removed from the Wi-Fi hotspot’s coverage area while performing the
update.
5. Ensure the phone’s battery is adequately charged to fully complete the
update, as the update will fail if the phone loses power.
6. If the update is canceled or fails for any reason, it can be started again by
repeating the steps below.
Update procedure
1. From the phone’s applications menu, tap the icon called ‘Settings.’
2. Within ‘Settings,’ tap ‘About phone,’ then tap ‘Software update.’
3. Tap ‘Start Updating software.’ When asked to confirm software update,
tap ‘OK’ to initiate the download.
4. Once the download is complete, tap ‘Update now.’
5. The phone will automatically power off and restart, at which point it will
automatically begin installing the software update. Allow the installation to
finish before using the device.
6. Once installation is complete, a notice of completion will appear on the
phone’s status bar (along the top of the display).
7. To confirm that the update was successful, go to the phone’s applications
menu and tap ‘Settings,’ then ‘About phone.’ Scroll down to ‘Build number.’
Following a successful update, the ‘Build number’ will be ‘102.0.1920.’
