本文主要是规划P750E PowerVM,其中包括CPU,Memory,网卡和光纤卡的设置。

(1) PowerVM:IBM小型机虚级化技术的总称
(2) VIOS:Virtual I/O Server,小型机虚拟I/O服务器
(3) VIOC:Virtual I/O Client,小型机虚拟I/O客户端

2.4 VIOC使用技术

实施样本:
首先创建VIOS server
1. 设定分区标识以及分区名称,根据先前规划设定。
2.设定分区概要文件名,为了便于管理建议与分区名称一致。
3. 选择CPU分配方式,可以选专用或者共享,这个看自己规划的方式
前者需要进而选择该分区计划使用的物理CPU单元(即是物理CPU数目),包含最小值
(min)、期望值(desire)、最大值(max),此概念与DLPAR相同。后者需要配置物理CPU单元
(仅代表分区所能获得的CPU运算能力,是逻辑概念而非CPU个数),以及虚拟处理器单
元(Virtual Processor,VP),VP表示分区的运算负载分布到多少颗CPU上。因此VP的设置
需要考虑分区应用的并行处理要求而定,数目过大可能造成频繁的CPU切换,数目过小也
可能限制分区能获得的处理能力。
4.配置物理CPU以及虚拟CPU
这里还需要选择受限(capped)或不受限(uncapped)模式,受限模式下,分区在繁忙时能
获得的CPU资源最大为物理CPU单元的期望值,不受限模式下,需要为分区设置权重值
(weight),分区在繁忙时能获得的CPU资源最大为VP的desire值,若空余的CPU数量有
限,权重大的分区能获得更多的资源。不受限模式下CPU资源的抢占不会影响其它分区的
正常活动。

11. 启动分区,安装VIOS server操作系统
和安装AIX系统基本一样
根据客户买的系统版本进行选择
在第一张光盘安装完毕后根据提示更换第二张光盘继续安装。安装结束后进入VIOS系统,
默认用户名padmin 密码padmin,输入license –accept,并查看vios系统版本,建议升至最
新。
执行oem_setup_env切换回AIX界面,查看磁盘,以及给rootvg添加磁盘,并配置磁盘镜
像
#extendvg rootvg hdisk1
#mirrovg rootvg hdisk1
使用bosboot和bootlist修改启动信息,命令如下:
#bosboot –ad hdisk0
#bosboot –ad hdisk1
#bootlist –m normal hdisk0 hdisk1

卡配置
执行如下命令把etherchannel创建出来的卡和virtual 卡做成sea卡。
# exit(退回到VIOS界面)

$ mkvdev -sea ent13 -vadapter ent9 -default ent9 -defaultid 2
$ mkvdev -sea ent14 -vadapter ent10 -default ent10 -defaultid 3
$ mkvdev -sea ent15 -vadapter ent11 -default ent11 -defaultid 4
说明此处ent12,13,14,15均为配置好的etherchannel卡,ent8,9,10,11均为虚拟以太网卡。
配置后执行如下命令查看

说明:mkvdev是将设备映射给应用分区使用的命令,-vdev 为设备名,可以为磁盘或LV或
磁带机,-vadapter为应用分区的vhost,-dev为映射后的识别名称,以易识别的标识为命名
标准。
查看分配好的设备

2.4 VIOC使用技术

实施样本:
首先创建VIOS server
1. 设定分区标识以及分区名称,根据先前规划设定。
2.设定分区概要文件名,为了便于管理建议与分区名称一致。
3. 选择CPU分配方式,可以选专用或者共享,这个看自己规划的方式
前者需要进而选择该分区计划使用的物理CPU单元(即是物理CPU数目),包含最小值
(min)、期望值(desire)、最大值(max),此概念与DLPAR相同。后者需要配置物理CPU单元
(仅代表分区所能获得的CPU运算能力,是逻辑概念而非CPU个数),以及虚拟处理器单
元(Virtual Processor,VP),VP表示分区的运算负载分布到多少颗CPU上。因此VP的设置
需要考虑分区应用的并行处理要求而定,数目过大可能造成频繁的CPU切换,数目过小也
可能限制分区能获得的处理能力。
4.配置物理CPU以及虚拟CPU
这里还需要选择受限(capped)或不受限(uncapped)模式,受限模式下,分区在繁忙时能
获得的CPU资源最大为物理CPU单元的期望值,不受限模式下,需要为分区设置权重值
(weight),分区在繁忙时能获得的CPU资源最大为VP的desire值,若空余的CPU数量有
限,权重大的分区能获得更多的资源。不受限模式下CPU资源的抢占不会影响其它分区的
正常活动。

11. 启动分区,安装VIOS server操作系统
和安装AIX系统基本一样
根据客户买的系统版本进行选择
在第一张光盘安装完毕后根据提示更换第二张光盘继续安装。安装结束后进入VIOS系统,
默认用户名padmin 密码padmin,输入license –accept,并查看vios系统版本,建议升至最
新。
执行oem_setup_env切换回AIX界面,查看磁盘,以及给rootvg添加磁盘,并配置磁盘镜
像

使用bosboot和bootlist修改启动信息,命令如下:

执行如下命令把etherchannel创建出来的卡和virtual 卡做成sea卡。

说明:mkvdev是将设备映射给应用分区使用的命令,-vdev 为设备名,可以为磁盘或LV或

标准。
