While in college, Jin learned computer science and planned to be a programmer. However,

With our busy lives, finding time to exercise can be another important thing. So when is

the best time to exercise? Could exercising at certain times help achieve our health goals?

The answer is “yes”.

There are clear benefits to exercising in the morning. Many of us have more free time then

and it may be easier for us to stick to a morning exercise. A study found that someone who

exercised in the morning, increased their physical activities all the day. Exercising on an

empty stomach before breakfast could also burn more fat and increase metabolism (新陈代

谢). So, good news for early birds, but what if you’re not a morning person? Doing

exercising in the afternoon or evening also has benefits. In the afternoon and evening, your

reaction (反应) time is the quickest, and your heart rate (心率) and blood pressure are the

lowest, which reduce your chance of getting hurt.

Is the best time to exercise different whether you are a man or woman? A 2022 study from

Skidmore College, New York, showed that there are some differences. Want to reduce your

blood pressure and you’re a woman? Exercise in the morning. Want to improve your heart

health and you’re a man? Evening is better for you. But, lastly, the study found that there are

clear benefits for men and women to exercise at either time of day. So what time is the best?

It seems the answer is: whatever time is the best for you!

46.Which one is right according to Paragraph One?

A. It’s not useful for us to exercise.

B. Finding time to exercise is important.

C. Exercising can’t help improve our health.

D. We have no time to exercise because we are busy.

47.What is the benefit of doing exercise in the afternoon or evening?

A. The reaction time is the lowest.

C. The blood pressure is the lowest.

B. The heart rate is the quickest.

D. The speed is the quickest.

48.Which one is the writer’s opinion towards “exercise” according to the text?

A. It’s good for us to exercise whenever we can.

B. A man who has heart problem should exercise in the morning.

C. It’s better for us to exercise in the morning than in the evening.

D. A woman who has high blood pressure should exercise in the evening.

There are many ways to get people to do what you want. You can order them around. “Do

this!” “Do that!” You can also threaten (威胁) them. “You had better do what I say ”

But these methods might not get the best results and you probably will lose a few friends.

“Half my teammates just told me they would give up!” Mike said to me angrily. “Well,

maybe they wouldn’t leave you if you didn’t shout at them every time something went

wrong,” I told him with a smile. “After all, you get more flies with honey than with vinegar

(醋).”

As we all know, honey is sweet, vinegar is sour and hard to drink. The expression “you get

more flies with honey than with vinegar” means it is a good idea to be nice to others.

Being mean or unpleasant is like being full of vinegar. You will push more people away and

nobody will like to be around you.

On the contrary (相反), being nice to other people is the best and easiest way to get what

you want. You can win over friends and chances more easily by being polite and kind.

Therefore, for those who like ordering people around, I would say: ________, you’ll get

what you want more easily.

49.What will probably happen if we order people around? (不超过15词)

________________________________________________

50.When did Mike shout at his teammates? (不超过10个词)

51.What would the writer say at the end of the text? (不超过10个词)
