Inspection of the Controller

Inspection of the power supply area of the controller

Power for GUI/RT PC is supplied from J3 Port of the CP60 Main Power Supply Unit.

The power passes through the AC 120V Adapter and is supplied to GUI & RT PC. And

power to the boards (386EX, Multi-I/O, lighting, Numio, Tep-Axis ) on

the back of the machine is supplied from CP60 Main Power Supply, Power distribution

board, and single Power Supply of +-15V and +5V.

Check if the VGA card is assembled correctly.

¨è Check if the hard disk cable is connected correctly.

¨ë Check if COM 1 & COM2 Port cables are connected correctly.

¨ì Check if the Key Board sharing cable is connected correctly.

¨í Check if the LAN card is assembled correctly.

¨ï Check if the METEOR2-DIG/4/R (2 cards) cards are assembled correctly.

¨ë Check if the ISA DPAM SLAVE card is assembled correctly.

¨ì Check if the PMAC AXIS B/D is assembled correctly.

¨í Check if the CAN MASTER B/D is assembled correctly.

¨î Check if the SMART CARD B/D is assembled correctly.

¨ï Check if the cable for each B/D is connected correctly.

Detailed inspection of VGA

§ Check the VGA card area

§ Check the status of LED on the lower right part of the monitor.

§ LED is green: normal operation.

§ LED flashes

ú The monitor is in the power save mode.

ú Check if the monitor cable is connected correctly.

ú Check if the VGA card is inserted correctly.

§ LED is not lighted:

Check if the power supply switch on the lower right part of the monitor is pressed.

ú Check if the power supply cable is connected correctly.

ú Check if power is supplied.

§ Check if the VGA card is assembled correctly.

w Check if the hard disk cable is connected from the hard disk to SBC correctly.

w PC does not detect the hard disk

§ Check if the hard disk is set as the master.

§ Hard disk detection

ú First supply power and boot the system. Press the key or the key

to go into CMOS Setup.

ú From the MAIN Menu, select STANDARD CMOS Setup Menu, and move to

the Primary Master by using the <ß>, <à>, <â>, and <á> keys, then change

the Hard Disk type to auto by using the , and keys.

ú Change to the Main Menu by using the key and enter into IDE HDD

AUTO DETECTION.

ú Of the automatically detected, select the LBA mode.

ú Switch to the Main Menu by using the key and select SAVE & EXIT

Setup and save.

ú The system automatically reboots and detects the hard disk.

§ Booting by the floppy disk

If IDE HDD AUTO DETECTION can not be carried out, follow the following

procedure.

ú From CMOS Setup in the MAIN Menu, select BIOS FEATURES Setup, and

select Boot Sequence: A, C by using the , and keys.

ú Exit to the Main Menu by pressing the key, and save and end.

ú Insert the Windows 98 booting disk into the floppy disk drive and boot.

ú After booting, check and restore the hard disk status by using the command of

SCANDISK C: .

ú If the hard disk is damaged, contact our C/S to set it again.

w Check if the SBC is connected to the floppy disk drive correctly.

2.2.2.3.4. Keyboard

w Check if the keyboard is connected to the SBC correctly.

w Check the keyboard extension line.

w Check if the keyboard is connected to the GUI/RT Panel correctly.

2.2.2.3.5. Mouse

w Check the mouse extension line.

w Check if the mouse is connected to the SBC correctly.

w Check if the mouse is connected to the GUI/RT Panel correctly.

2.2.2.3.6. Teaching Box

w Check if the Teaching Box is connected to the RT Panel.

w Check if the RT Panel and the RT SBC _COM1_ PORT are connected.

the equipment)

w Check Jumper setting of the Servo I/F board.

w Check the connection status of the cable connecting the Servo I/F board and PMAC-

AXIS, Encoder board.

of the equipment)

w Check the solder Jumper of the MIB board.

Soldering Jumper :

w Check the Flat Cable Locking status.

w Check power supply. (+85V,+24V)

w Check the connection status of various connectors.

2.2.3.2.3. Check items for Head _I/F B/D (Located on the X1& X2 Gantries on

the front and back of the equipment)

w Check the solder Jumper of the Head I/F board.

w Check the connection status of the vacuum Cable and the Vacuum Sensor Board Port.

w Check the connection status of the cable connecting the solenoid of Head Ass’y and

the Vacuum Sensor board.

w Check the status of the cable connecting the Head_I/F board and the Vacuum Sensor

Board.
