Mechanical design
The actuaactuator is driven by a2-position(SPDT) or DC 0…100…10 V, 4…20 mA control signal
from the c the controller and generates a rotary motion which is ch is transferred to thebutterfly
valvevia via a driver.
Theseeleelectromotoric actuators require no . They have a reversible
asynchronnchronous motor which drives the main shaft via gear tgear train, which accommodates
the diagodiagonal square head of the butterfly SQL32QL321B25, the coil spring is
fitted withd with handwheel shaft, handwheel is engagedwhenhenpushed in. For others, the
worm sham shaft is fitted with a direct-acting handwheel.
The actuaactuators are 90° rotated so as to workwith Siemens mens VKF42.. butterfly valves.
During aung automatic operation, rotation isstoppedby two builo built-in end-switches.
To prevenrevent the temperature inside the housing from fallingalling below the dew point tem-
perature, ture, the actuators areequipped with a built-in heatingeating element.

Calibration

In order to determine the disc position fully closed “0%” or fully open “100%”, calibra-
tion is recommended on initial commissioning of modulating type actuator.
Prerequisites
∂ Actuator is mounted on butterfly valve
∂Rotate the actuator to the half-open position using the handwheel
∂ Housing cover is removed

In order to determine the disc position fully closed “0%” or fully open “100%”, calibra-
tion is recommended on initial commissioning of modulating type actuator.
Prerequisites
∂ Actuator is mounted on butterfly valve
∂Rotate the actuator to the half-open position using the handwheel
∂ Housing cover is removed
