Memory mirroring, where the memory can be divided
into two for redundancy, ensures continuity. Disk storage
offers a choice of 32GB 3.5
” SAS/SATA drives or 64GB2.5”
SAS drives. All have a max. x8 DVD-ROM as standard.
Hot-plug features ensure continuous platform operation
and high application reliability. Disc storage capacity can
be more flexibly expanded, with max.3TB (500GBx6) us-
ing 3.5
” SATA drives, 2.936TB (146.8GB x 20) using 2.5”
SAS drives and the Internal HDD Bay Conversion kit, and
2.7TB (450.0GBx6) using 3.5
” SAS drives. Expansion capa-
bility is also enhanced in other areas with up to 32 or 64GB
DDR2 SDRAM Fully Buffered DIMM (PC2 5300F) mem-
ory, and plenty of free PCI slots to handle high I/O activity.
New heat-pipe cooling technology has also reduced
noise output making PRIMERGY TX300 S4, at 36 to
