Dear Jessica,
How are you? I miss you so much! I can't wait until summer
vacation when we can play together again every day. Speaking of
playing, I want to tell you all about my hobbies! You know how
much I love having fun.
My biggest hobby is definitely playing sports. I love love love
baseball! Every day after school, I go outside and practice hitting
and catching with my brother Tommy. He's not as good as me
though - I'm the real MVP! Last weekend, Dad took us to the
batting cages and I hit so many home runs. The pitching machine
couldn't stop me! I was knocking those balls right out of the park.
Maybe I'll be a famous baseball player when I grow up and play
for the Yankees. How cool would that be?
Soccer is another super fun sport I'm obsessed with. I play
on a team called the Red Rockets and we're the best in our
league. Our uniforms are so rad - bright red jerseys with flames
down the sides. I'm a forward so I get to try and score a ton of
goals. Just this weekend, I scored a hat trick! That means I got 3
goals in the same game. My teammates were cheering so loudly.
We went for pizza after to celebrate our big win. I got pepperoni
and ate the whole thing!
Whenever I'm not playing baseball or soccer, you can
probably find me riding my bicycle. I have an awesome BMX bike
that I got for Christmas. It's neon green with hot pink wheels - so
bright and fun! I love doing tricks and jumps on it. Just yesterday,
I made it all the way over Sheriff Dan's patrol car while he was
giving my neighbor a parking ticket! He wasn't too happy about
that one. Whoops! I had to hide from him in the bushes until he
gave up looking for me. Totally worth it for such a sweet jump
though!
Building things is another hobby I'm crazy about. My dad is
an engineer so he taught me all about construction and tools.
I'm always making new forts and hideouts in the backyard out of
scrap wood and nails. A couple weeks ago, I built a two-story
treehouse that was unbelievable! It even had windows, a roof,
and a trap door to get inside. I made a sign that said "No Girls
Allowed" and nailed it to the front. Don't worry though, you're an
honorary boy so you can come over if you want.
