Good to see this post. I decided I was going to start the same thread as soon as I got my settings

figured out, but I'm still not decided on a general listening scheme, although this one did sound

nice:

I use a pair of Shure SE530's so Idon't overdo the EQing, if you use less isolated headphones

youwill probably need to boost the lower end and lower midrange frequencies to preference, as

well as increasing the BBE setting. I adopted these from my D2 and still need to tweak as it

certainly sounds different. I will post some more once I got everything exactly the way

80Hz (normal): 5 (from wide to normal to really just boost the warmth/deepness of the sound,

otherwise it was a tad boomy)

300Hz (wide): 3 (upped the frequency to get a little less depth punch/bit more solid instrumental

sounds)

780Hz (wide): 3

3.0kHz(wide): 3

13kHz (wide): 5 (lower this frequency range for more apparent voices/less brightness)

BBE: 1

Mach3Bass: 2

3D Surround: 3

MP Enhance: OFF

STE: OFF

Oh, my 'general listening' is mostly anything from classical to blues to rock to metal, mostly

having lots of instruments/acoustics.

____________

I have the CX300 and pretty much the same EQ as the standard rock setting.

General Listening:

80Hz (normal): 12

220Hz (wide): 6

780Hz (narrow): 0

3.0kHz(wide): 6

13kHz (wide): 12

BBE: 2

Mach3Bass: 3

3D Surround: 2

MP Enhance: ON

STE: OFF

I mostly listen to band like Led Zeppelin

____________

EQ:

+1 .... 105Hz ..... Normal

-1 .... 500Hz ..... Normal

-2 .... 1.4kHz .... Normal

+2 .... 4.1kHz .... Normal

+10 .. 11.7Khz ... Wide

BBE+:all off

Stereo enhance: off

I listen to: pop, rock, classic, soundtracks

I've 4GB D2 + 2GB Transcend and Shure E500.

____________

Just got my s9 and have been fiddling with the settings using a pair of Sleek Audio SA6's with

bass+ and treble++ ports.

EQ

+2...Narrow

+3...Wide

+3...Wide

+5...Wide

+6...11.7kHz..Narrow

Just for some perspective this is the frequency response of SA6 with neutral ports, so you can kind

of see what i was trying to do.

BBE: 4

Mach3Bass: 2

3D surround: 1

MP Enhance: on

STE: off
