My Very Best Friend in the Whole Wide World
Hi there! My name is Emma, and I'm 8 years old. Today, I
want to tell you all about my very best friend in the whole wide
world – Sarah! She's the most amazing person ever, and I'm so
lucky to have her in my life.
Sarah and I have known each other since we were just tiny
little babies. Our moms used to take us to the same baby
playgroup, and we would sit together and play with the same
toys. Even back then, we just clicked! We would giggle and laugh
together, and our moms always said we were like two peas in a
pod.
As we got a little older, we ended up going to the same
preschool and kindergarten. We were always in the same class,
and we would do everything together. We would color pictures,
build with blocks, and have so much fun during recess time.
Sarah was always the one who would come up with the most
creative games for us to play, and she always made sure to
include everyone.
Now, we're in the same second-grade class at Oakwood
Elementary School, and we're still the bestest of friends. We sit
together at lunch every day, and we always trade parts of our
lunches because Sarah loves my mom's homemade cookies, and
I love Sarah's dad's famous PB&J sandwiches.
One of the things I love most about Sarah is how kind and
caring she is. She's always looking out for other kids who might
be feeling left out or sad. Just the other day, we saw a new girl
sitting alone at recess, and Sarah went right over to her and
invited her to join our game of jump rope. That's just the kind of
person she is – always thinking of others.
Sarah is also really smart and good at school. She always
gets great grades, and she's especially good at math. Sometimes,
when I'm having trouble with my math homework, Sarah helps
me out and explains things in a way that makes sense to me.
She's really patient and never makes me feel dumb for not
understanding something right away.
Another thing that's so great about Sarah is that she's really
funny. She's always cracking jokes and making us laugh. One
time, we were in class, and the teacher asked a really silly
