说“吸睛”

“吸睛”的意思是“吸引眼球”“博人眼球”或“吸引注意力”。
“吸睛”或“博人眼球”，常常是通过视觉实现的。英语可以用与eye（眼睛）和gaze（凝
视）相关的动词词组to catch the eye、to capture the eye、to grab the eye、to attract the eye、to
attract the gaze及相应的形容词词组eye-catching、eye-capturing、eye-grabbing、eye-attracting、
gaze-attracting等表示。例如：
1. 生活中，有很多东西可以吸引眼球，但仅有少许可以抓住人心。In your life， there are
many things that will catch your eye but there are only a few things that will catch your heart.
2. 最近的一项研究表明：想要吸引女性眼球的男性应该穿红色衣服，因为红色能使男性对
异性更具诱惑力。A recent research shows that men wanting to capture the eye of women should
dress in red， a color which makes them more alluring to the opposite sex.
3. 一个博人眼球的包装肯定会大大有助于促销。The appearance of a package that attracts the
gaze will certainly be of much help in promoting the sales.
4. 这位设计师擅长设计博人眼球的女士时装。The designer is good at designing eye-grabbing
female fashion garments.
5. 在网络海量信息中，网上新闻评论兼具博人眼球和震撼人心的效应。 Amid the
enormous quantity of web information， the web news commentary has both the eye-attracting and
heart-shaking effects.
6. 这些糖果商用吸引眼球的包装纸包装糖果。These confectioners packaged their candy in
gaze-attracting wrappers.
“吸睛”或“博人眼球”，也可以通过听觉实现。英语可以用与听觉相关的buzzworthy一词表
示。buzz原是一个象声词，模仿蜜蜂发出的嗡嗡声或门铃的蜂鸣声，能够吸引注意力。合成词
buzzworthy有“吸引注意力”的意思。例如：
7. “Buzzworthy” means “likely to arouse the interest and attention of the public， either by
media coverage or by word of mouth”. buzzworthy的意思是“可能通过媒体报道或口口相传引起公
众兴趣和注意”。

8. 这个谈话节目是当前最博人眼球的电视节目之一。The talk show is one of the most
buzzworthy TV programs on the air at the moment.

“吸睛”或“博人眼球”，还可以通过触觉实现。英语可以用与触觉相关的catch、capture和
grab等动词加上attention表示。例如：
10. 为了迅速博得读者眼球和提供更多信息，報纸编辑不得不突出标题以强调新闻内容。
In order to catch the readers’ attention quickly and provide more information， newspaper editors
have to highlight the headlines so as to emphasize the news content.
11. 明亮颜色、大号字体、“哔哔”声响和音调都能博人眼球。Bright colors， large fonts，
beeps， and tones will capture attention.
12. 这些营销人员知道如何应用不同的吸睛技巧。These marketers know how to use different
attention-grabbing techniques.
