13.8. Machine Default [F10]
Set default parameters to be used during machine operation. Unless set separately in
component data Handling, Machine Default Handling decides overall machine operation
parameters.
Figure 13-13.”Handling for Machine Defaults” dialog box
w Speed (% of Max) group
Used to enter the percentage by which the speed of the X-Y and Z axes motors is
increased for proper placement. The machine default setting for both the XY and Z
edit box is 100%. The range of values is from 30%-100%.
§
Used to enter the percentage by which the speed of the X and Y axes motors is
increased or decreased
§
Used to enter the percentage by which the speed of the Z axis motor is increased
or decreased.
§
Used to enter the percentage by which the speed of the Theta axis motor is
increased or decreased.
w
Used to change the Z stroke velocity at a given position.
§
Check this box to use the touch down function.
§
Enter the distance the Z axis reaches before attaining the specified touch down
velocity. Measure the distance from the top surface of the board to the bottom of
the component body (non-leaded), or the bottom of the leads (leaded).
§
13-16
Production Menu
Enter the speed (30% to 100%) the Z axis should use after reaching the specified
touch down distance.
w
To set the items related to vacuum for component pickup.
§
Check this box to use the Vacuum Verify function.
§
Enter the time between the moment when the machine turns the vacuum on and
the Z axis begins its upward motion. This delay allows the Z axis to stay fully
extended before lifting up. The Default is 30ms.
§
Enter the offset value that allows the machine to sense the component on the
nozzle correctly as opposed to sensing the “no component“ condition. The
machine considers that a part is present on the nozzle if the vacuum reading is
greater than the calibrated open circuit and verify offset values combined. The
default is 2.0. In the following circumstances, this value should be changed only.
* The machine does not sense the component when it is on the nozzle.
* The machine senses that a component is on the nozzle when it is not.
* Vacuum leakage occurs where the nozzle and the component meet.
w
Set the items related to vacuum for component placement.
§
Enter the time the nozzle rests on the part before beginning its upward motion.
The Default is 0.
§
Enter the time between when the vacuum turns off and the Z axis begins its
upward motion during placement. The release delay allows the vacuum to
dissipate and allows the part to detach from the nozzle. The Default is 16ms.
w
Enter the maximum number of pickup attempts before the machine will declare the
Feeder that picked the part in error. The Default is 3.
The pickup retry limit does not apply to Matrix Trays.
Caution
w
Enter the amount of overstroke allowable for the Z axis during placement. Positive
values will cause the placement Z to travel farther down. The Default is 0.000.
w
Click on this button to apply default values for component handling information
( Speed [% of Max.] , Touch Down , Vacuum , Pickup Retry , and Overstroke).
