摘要:PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of high power and high efficiency in an
engine by installing a roller chamber, to be made up of housing a roller being driven by
rotation of a crankshaft, in the lower part of an engine block, and constituting it so as to
lead air into a cylinder after being compressed by rotation of the roller.
CONSTITUTION:A roller chamber 3 is formed in the lower part of an engine block 1, and
a rotor 8, where an inner hole 9 comes into slidingly contact with each bush 10 at both
sides of a crank arm 5, is fitted in the inner part of this roller chamber. A circular roller
sliding surface 11 is installed on an inner circumferential surface of the rotor chamber 3,
supporting each seal plate 12 on both ends of this sliding surface free of rotation, and
these seal plates 12 is made contact with an outer circumferential surface of the rotor 8,
under pressure, by each coil spring 14, partitioning off an air compression zone. In
addition, at both ends of the rotor sliding surface 11, there are provided with an air intake
pipe 17 and an air exhaust pipe 18, and this air exhaust pipe 18 is interconnected to an air
preload chamber 21 via a check valve 19 and an interconnecting passage 20, while it is
further interconnected to an air vent passage 23 via an on-off valve, and then this air
preload chamber 21 is made interconnectible to the cylinder 2 via an interconnecting
passage 28.
