andTDS/CSA/DSA8200seriesinstruments.
Handlemodulestopreventelectrostaticdamage
ostaticdischarge(ESD)candamagesamplingmoduleelectrical
inputsand
outputs.
Alwaysuseagroundedwriststrap(providedwithyourinstrument)when
installingorremovingmodulesfromthemainframeandwhenconnectingcables.
Wearanti-staticclothingandworkinastatic-freeworkstationwhenusing
samplingmodules.
Dischargecablestogroundbeforeconnectingthemtomodules.
Donot
createanESDantennabyleavingcablesattachedtothesampling-module
inputwiththeotherendofthecableopen.
UseaTektronix
80A02EOS/ESDProtectionModulewhentakingTDR
measurements.
Donot
dropthemodulesincedamageandmisalignmentofthephotodiodeoptical
assemblycanresult.
Always
storeandtransportmodulesinastatic-freecontainer,withallsupplied
terminationsinstalled.
To
preventlossofopticalpowerordamagetotheopticalconnectors,keepthe
hatallconnectors,jumpers,andprotective
capsarecleanbeforeconnectingthemtothemodule.
