Last Weekend

Last weekend was so much fun! On Saturday morning, I

woke up early because I was really excited. My mom made my

favorite breakfast - chocolate chip pancakes! After I ate, I got

dressed and went outside to play.

I rode my bike around the neighborhood with my best friend

Josh. We raced each other down the big hill on Oak Street. I was

going really fast, but Josh beat me. He is a great bike rider. After

bike riding for a while, we went to the park.

At the park, there was a baseball game happening on the big

field. Some older kids were playing, and they looked really good.

Josh and I watched them for a little bit. Then we went over to the

playground instead. We spent a long time on the swings, seeing

who could go higher. The swings are my favorite!

For lunch, Josh's mom called us over and we had peanut

butter and jelly sandwiches. They are so yummy. Josh's little

sister Sarah came out to play too after we ate. First, we played

tag for a while, running all around the playground. Sarah is really

fast! Eventually we got tired, so we just sat under a tree talking

and making up silly jokes to tell each other.

After the park, I went home for a little while before Josh

came over to my house. We played some video games in the

basement. My dad came down and played with us for a bit too,

which was really fun. Later, we had pizza for dinner - pepperoni is

the best!

On Sunday, I went to church with my family in the morning.

The sermon was about being kind to others, which is really

important. After church, my grandparents came over for Sunday

lunch. We had a big meal with turkey, mashed potatoes, green

beans, and more! Grandma's cooking is delicious.

In the afternoon, the whole family went to the movies. We

saw the new superhero movie that just came out. It had amazing

special effects and lots of action scenes. My favorite part was

towards the end when the superhero had to save the city from

the villain's diabolical plot. Of course, good triumphed over evil

in the end!

After the movie, we stopped for ice cream at my favorite

shop downtown. I got a triple chocolate sundae - so rich and
