Sanxingdui Museum is a modern theme museum near Chengdu. It was first set up in August 1992, and
opened to the public in October 1997.
The relics(

) in the museum show the great culture of the Sanxingdui-based
ancient Shu State. To push cultural exchange between China and the rest of the world, these relics have
been exhibited in over ten countries and regions and have taken the world by storm.

Opening time Gallery One: 8:30—18:00 Gallery Two: 8:30—18:30
Booking time 8:30—17:00
Ticket Price:
(1) Gallery ticket ¥ 80
(2) Garden ticket ¥ 5
Children shorter than 1.2m (including 1.2m) can visit the gallery and garden free.
The ticket is used on the sold day and at both galleries once.
Guide Service & Price:
If you need a museum guide, please hire one at the service desk in Gallery One.
Chinese, Cantonese, Tibetan: ¥ 80 (to a group of 20 persons or fewer)
English, Japanese: ¥ 120 (to a group of 20 persons or fewer)
Each guide service covering the two galleries takes about 80 minutes.
We provide free Chinese & English auto guiding device (
设备
). Please hand in 200 yuan and your ID
card or student card before the tour at our service desk.
If the device gets broken or lost, you won’t get the money back.

On March 20, the Sanxingdui Ruins in Guanghan, Sichuan drew the world’s attention. Chinese
archaeologists(

) announced that they have found more than 500 cultural relies (
文物
) in six pits (
坑
) at
the site, which dates back over 3,200 years. The relies include bronzeware (
青铜器
) , gold and bronze masks, ivory,
jade (
玉器
) and textiles (
纺织品
).
The Sanxingdui Ruins, which were first discovered in 1929, are believed to be the remains of the ancient Shu
Kingdom. The kingdom was a center of civilization (
文明
) along the upper reaches of Yangtze River.
In 1986, archaeologists discovered two pits that they believed were used for sacrificial ceremonies (
祭祀仪式
).
At that time, over 1,000 artifacts were found, including bronzeware, face masks and “divine (

) trees”-bronze
