TheDAC8550isasmall,low-power,voltageoutput,
16-bitdigital-to-analogconverter(DAC).Itis
monotonic,providesgoodlinearity,andminimizes
DAC8550usesaversatile3-wireserialinterfacethat
operatesatclockratesofupto30MHzandis
compatiblewithstandardSPI™,QSPI™,
Microwire™,anddigitalsignalprocessor(DSP)
interfaces.
TheDAC8550requiresanexternalreferencevoltage
8550incorporatesa
power-onresetcircuitthatensuresthattheDAC
outputpowersupatmidscaleandremainthereuntila
8550
containsapower-downfeature,accessedoverthe
serialinterface,thatreducesthecurrentconsumption
ofthedeviceto200nAat5V.
Thelow-powerconsumptionofthisdeviceinnormal
operationmakesitidealforportablebattery-operated
onsumptionis1mWat5V,
reducingto1µWinpower-downmode.
