The HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press is a market-proven, 30-inch mid-web solution with an image

format, speed and imposition capability that make it a highly productive and cost-effective digital

labels and flexible packaging solution.

High production solution

The 29 inch image width captures the vast majority of flexible packaging, pressure-sensitive label,

shrink sleeve, wrap-around label, and in-mold labeling (IML) applications. Print on substrates from

0.4 to 10 pt. Produce up to 135 linear feet per minute in full color. HP Indigo ElectroInk Premium

White offers high-opacity white for heavy usage in a one-pass process.

resolution printing and perfect registration. Converters can meet strict brand color needs using

7 ink stations and a color gamut that reaches up to 97% of PANTONE® colors.

Leading digital print quality

High resolution printing. HP Indigo’s liquid electrophotography (LEP), using HP Indigo ElectroInk

with minute ink particles, delivers crisp linework, attractive images and smooth vignettes with a

very thin ink layer that gives uniform gloss between the ink and substrate.

Setting new quality standards. The press is now delivering even sharper, higher quality printing

using dozens of hardware, supplies and software innovations. Advances include adaptive color

profiles, optimized calibrations for perfect color uniformity, and a microsphere-based blanket.

Widest digital color gamut. Emulate PANTONE® colors on press with CMYK or using HP

IndiChrome’s 6- or 7-color process. True spot colors can be ordered from the HP IndiChrome Ink

Mixing Service for outstanding Pantone-approved solids.

One Shot technology. All color separations are transferred simultaneously in a single pass on

the substrate, for accurate and repeatable color-to-color registration, including on heat-sensitive

materials.

Intelligent color management. The Color Automation Package guarantees standards-matching

color accuracy and consistency. A built-in spectrophotometer and software tools simplify color

management and eliminate the need for expensive software, hardware and manual calibration

processes. Create color profiles and match PANTONE® colors in a simple, precise process.

Regulatory compliance. The HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press complies with industry standard

definitions for low migration inks, under well-defined conditions of use. It meets FDA and EU

Wide application possibilities. The 29 inch image format captures the vast majority of flexible

packaging jobs and brings high productivity and imposition efficiency to pressure-sensitive label

applications, shrink sleeves, IML, laminate tubes and more.

White inks. HP Indigo ElectroInk Premium White is a versatile, opaque white, delivering up to silk

screen white opacity in single print process with a thin white layer, fully dried and cured on impact.

HP Indigo ElectroInk White for Sleeves is a high slip ink that improves efficiency in the converting of

shrink sleeves, by reducing the friction coefficient (CoF).

Unlimited designs. Automate the creation of millions of one-of-a-kind designs with HP

SmartStream Mosaic’s variable design technology, creating a memorable consumer experience

and adding value to products.

Wide media gamut. The press prints on synthetic or paper substrates from 0.4 to 10 pt.

unwinder enables printing on standard materials without any preliminary processes. The press

also supports PE and other validated highly stretchable materials.

Powerful print server. HP SmartStream Labels and Packaging Print Server, Powered by Esko,

provides the most advanced tools in the industry for streamlining pre-press processes. It

features best-in-class, fully integrated solutions for accurate and fast digital color management

to reproduce any print job. It enables bi-directional connectivity with industry standard prepress

automation and production management systems and is driven by a powerful Adobe RIP engine.

PrintOS. Print Beat provides visibility to press performance and real-time data-insights, for

continuous improvements of print operations. With PrintOS Site Flow efficiently manage any

number of jobs per day, even hundreds or thousands, from submission to shipment. Automate,

simplify and streamline files submission with PrintOS Box. Use PrintOS Composer for heavy VDP

processing including sophisticated Mosaic campaigns.

Finishing solutions. HP Indigo partners offer solutions optimized for the press. The Digicon 3000

from AB Graphics is a modular design for both labels converting and flexible packaging lamination.

Comexi’s Nexus L20000 performs high-quality, water-based lamination with short time to market.

Karlville offers a range of solventless and solvent-based lamination machines. All these products

work with validated adhesives and varnishes that support HP Indigo ElectroInk.
