Ⅰ Lead–in 10’: Summarize the quiz.
Ⅱ Ss are asked to read the passage and Supplementary Reading, and
then try to answer the questions below.
Question 1: What are pre-preparations mainly about?
Answer to Question 1: Pre-preparations are mainly about checking
emergency equipment, preparation of food and drinks and finally
ensuring the cabin is in a fit state to receive the new passengers.
Question 2: What should CA’s do for passengers with special dietary
requirements?
Answer to Question 2: After the passengers have boarded, the CA’s will
confirm the passenger’s names, their seat numbers and what types of
meals they have ordered, and then label the food with the correct food
code labels.
Question 3: What kind of passengers should pre-board the aircraft?
Answer to Question 3: Some passengers who are the elderly, disabled
people, unaccompanied children, pregnant women and those who are
under close medical care for whom special medical equipment, such as
stretchers, wheelchairs, etc., are needed to be available in advance.
