December 7 and 8 are unforgettable days for me, because they
are the days when the school organized the seventh grade to go
to the labor base to carry out labor practice activities.
On the first day of coming to the base, the base teacher
walked into the classroom and said to us with a smile: "today
we will learn how to carve a seal." We jumped three feet high
with joy. First of all, the teacher introduced what is a seal.
Before engraving a seal, write a reverse word. We also to
introduced the white lettering on the red background of Yin
engraving and the red lettering on the white background of Yang
engraving. The yin-yang engraving is half Yin engraving and
half Yang engraving. The teacher also taught us the steps of
carving seals in detail. The teacher spoke in such detail that
the students listened carefully.
The next day, we will engrave the seal ourselves. The first
step is to polish the impression on sandpaper. The second step
is to write a simple and difficult character on the imprint.
The third step is the most important one: carving. At first,
I thought it was very simple, but later, I found that it was
not so simple. This thing called imprinted embryo is not tofu,
it is also very hard, and it cannot be carved without force.
Some students went to consult the teacher and others went to
consult the students. I also consulted the teacher and made some
clever plans. I've carved a lot more carefully than I did at
the beginning. One moment is vertical and the other is the
horizontal. The tool knife seemed to be made lively by me. Soon,
a perfect seal was born in my hand. Looking at the seal I carved,
my heart felt as sweet as honey.
The two days passed so quickly that the study life in the
labor base ended happily. In these two days, I not only learned
how to carve a seal, but also learned that never give up when
you encounter difficulties. Only when you overcome them can you
win.
Through this labor practice activity, I deeply realized
that "practice is the standard for testing truth". Through this
labor practice activity, we exercised our ability and grew up
in practice. However, in the process of practice, we also showed
that we were not experienced enough and not mature enough to
deal with problems. When we return to school, we will treasure
our time in school, strive to master more knowledge, and
constantly go deep into practice to test our knowledge and
exercise our ability, so as to lay a solid foundation for better
serving the society in the future.
I was very happy in this activity because I did a meaningful
thing and proved that I was able to cope with difficult
problems.
