Themostcommonmethodfordeterminationofcableboltpropertiesistoperformpull-outtestson
smallsegmentsofgroutedcablesinthefilly,segmentsfrom10to50cminlengthare
softhesesegmentsarepulledwithajackmountedtothesurface
ceappliedtothe
cable,andthedeformationofthecable,areplottedtoproduceanaxialforce-defl
thiscurve,thepeakshearstrengthofthegroutbondisdeterminedandconvertedtoastrengthin
tons/mcablelength.
Theresultsforpulltestsonone-halfmetersegmentsofseveraltypesofcablesareillustratedin
